No, Never! shower panels do not require grout and never will.

This is one of the biggest advantages of shower panels compared to traditional tiling. Without grout lines, shower panels are easier to clean and require less long-term maintenance. A quick wash down with hop soapy water.

Instead, shower panels are installed using trims and sealants to create a waterproof finish.

How Long Do Shower Panels Last?

What is the difference between PVC and solid core shower panels?

PVC shower panels are lightweight, cost-effective and easy to install, making them popular for many bathroom renovations. Our solid core shower panels are thicker, heavier and more rigid, often providing a more premium feel and enhanced durability.

The best option depends on your budget, design preference and installation requirements.

Do Shower Panels Go Mouldy?

Shower panels themselves are designed to resist moisture and mould growth.

Because there are no grout lines, there are fewer areas for mould to develop compared to traditional tiled walls. Proper installation and ventilation remain important for maintaining a clean bathroom environment, The silicone can overtime get mould but that can be removed and re-silicone. We recommend our Stay Fresh Silicone as it has a 7-year warranty to not go mouldy. Although it is a couple of pounds more per tube, its worth every penny.

Can Wall Panels Be Used In Bathrooms?

Yes, Our PVC wall panels are specifically designed for bathrooms and wet areas.

Bathroom wall panels are typically in a 250mm wide panel with a thickness of 5mm or 8mm, They provide a waterproof and low-maintenance alternative to traditional tiles while offering a modern decorative finish.

Are Ceiling Panels Waterproof?

Yes, ceiling panels are manufactured the exact same way as a wall panel. They are moisture-resistant and suitable for bathrooms, kitchens and utility spaces.

They provide a practical and decorative solution while helping protect ceilings from moisture exposure. We do still recommend a good quality extractor fan in wet rooms.

Can Panels Be Cut To Size?

Yes, All panels can be cut to size using appropriate tools and protection. The basic tools needed are a fine-toothed saw, sharp Stanley knife and tape measure.

Are PVC Wall Panels Durable?

Yes, PVC wall panels are designed to be durable, easy to maintain and resistant to moisture.

What Is SPC Flooring?

SPC flooring stands for Stone Plastic Composite flooring. It is a rigid core flooring product designed to provide durability, waterproof performance and stability.

SPC flooring is popular in modern homes because it combines realistic wood or stone finishes with practical low-maintenance benefits.

The crushed layer of stone on top means it reflects the heat back into the room, this means it only needs a 1mm expansion gap where as LVT needs a 5mm expansion gap.

Is SPC Flooring Waterproof?

Yes, SPC flooring is fully waterproof, making it suitable for kitchens, bathrooms, utility rooms and high-traffic areas.

Unlike traditional laminate flooring, SPC flooring is designed to resist moisture exposure without swelling or warping. Making it ideal for areas that may get wet!

What Is The Difference Between SPC Flooring And Laminate?

SPC flooring uses a rigid waterproof core, while laminate flooring typically contains a fibreboard core that can be affected by moisture.

SPC flooring is generally more suitable for:

Laminate flooring may still suit dry areas such as bedrooms and living rooms.

Can SPC Flooring Be Installed Over Tiles?

In many cases, SPC flooring can be installed over existing tiles if the surface is level, secure and properly prepared. Certain ranges that we stock have a built-in underlay to help aid if floors have a blemish.

The rigid core construction of SPC flooring helps bridge minor imperfections better than some flexible flooring products.

Does SPC Flooring Need Underlay?

Some SPC flooring products include built-in underlay, while others may require separate underlay depending on the installation and subfloor type.

Always check the product specifications before installation.

How Long Does Delivery Take?

A question we get asked often, The honest answer is that delivery times can vary depending on the product, stock availability and delivery location. For an accurate ETA its always best to call us on 0191 389 6636.

On average most orders are delivered within 3 working days, we try our best to route larger orders and shower panels onto our vehicles to avoid courier damages.

Do You Offer Free Delivery?

Orders over one hundred and twenty pounds are free delivery, for orders under this value its fourteen pounds and ninety-nine pence. Please note this is for mainland UK not including highlands. Highlands and Offshore please get in touch for a quote.

Can I Order Samples?

Yes and its encouraged. On our product pages we will have a button near the add to cart feature which will allow you to add a sample to your basket. samples are available on most products.

Ordering samples is always recommended if you would like to check the finish, colour or texture before placing a larger order.

What Should I Do If My Order Arrives Damaged?

If your order arrives damaged, please contact us as soon as possible with photographs of the damage and your order details. We must be notified within 24hrs of receiving the goods, proof of damages can be sent to info@floorstowalls.co.uk

This helps us investigate the issue and arrange the appropriate resolution.

When Should I Book My Fitter?

We strongly recommend that customers do not book fitters or installers until their order has been delivered and fully checked for damage or shortages.

While we always aim for prompt delivery, courier delays and transit issues can occasionally occur. Checking your order before arranging installation helps avoid unnecessary inconvenience or additional costs.

Can I Return Unused Panels?

Returns may be accepted depending on the product type, condition and timeframe. The panels must be in the original boxes and be in a resell able condition, please review our returns policy or contact our team before arranging any returns.

What Adhesive Should I Use For Shower Panels?

The adhesive required depends on the panel type and installation surface.

We recommend using adhesives specifically designed for shower panel installation to ensure proper bonding and waterproof performance. A silicone is best to stick the panels onto tiles and a solvent free grab adhesive for walls, plaster, wood etc.

Please Note – It must be solvent free as the solvent will react with the plastic over time.

What Trims Do I Need?

Most shower panel installations require trims for corners, joins and edges.

The trims needed will depend on your room layout and installation type, If you’re not sure give us a call and let our experts talk you through it.

Can Shower Panels Be Fitted To Battens?

Some shower panels can be fitted to timber battens depending on the product and installation method. We recommend reducing the spacing between batons to ensure a sturdy finish.

Always follow the manufacturer installation guidance for the specific panel being used, Manufacturers guidelines can be found in the box of the shower panel. If you would like this prior to purchase, let us know and we can email you a copy.

Can Spotlights Be Installed In Ceiling Panels?

Yes, spotlights can often be fitted into ceiling panels using the correct installation methods and suitable lighting products. Due to electrical work being involved, we recommend using an electrician to install the lights.
